Hiro claimed the honor of first ride with Tadashi on the hover bike for obvious reasons. They built it together after all, the mutual realization of a childhood dream, and while Hiro's not yet grown enough to actually drive the bike safely, nothing was going to stop him from parking his bottom in the passenger seat for that first test drive. Helmets and smiles in place, the Hamadas spent a quite some time traversing the city, testing speeds and turn radius and occasionally even writing those things down (because science), but all good things must end eventually. Or at least pause so that certain people involved can be forced to do things like eat and sleep.
So it was later, after Tadashi declared the bike "testing" done for the day and Hiro had reluctantly found something else to occupy himself with (something that was very likely not the sleeping that Tadashi had suggested), that the elder Hamada finally went looking for Caesar. His clothes were rumpled and hair was a mess from so much time under his helmet, but Tadashi was grinning from ear to ear when he found his partner, obviously still riding the high of his and Hiro's success.
for Caesar

"It runs like a dream!"
